An enchanting journey lost in time, you will pass through the great wooden door to access the caves, follow the waterfalls that will lead you to the misty lake, walk on this large stone bridge where below are secret passageways to access the ruins buried in the magical forest. Some dark shadows will follow you through the morning fog of this realm, but only the hight old crooked tower will make your sight clear, where the archives are kept inside and where the mysteries remain hidden.
Ruins of the Old Kingdom is a tribute to the projects from the 90s of the Dark Ambient & Dungeon Synth scene which will remain great inspirations and fantastic influences in our imaginary world.

Meditative and surprisingly multi-layered considering the simplicity of the actual elements in the songs. The entirety of the album is a very soothing and unobtrusive experience, still it has lots to offer and to discover. Since it is almost like a cross between dungeon synth and calm yet dark ambient music the atmosphere it invokes is very open and airy, an engrossing and evocative release.

A dreamy, beguiling, nostalgic dungeon synth quest through the shires. But, it's so much more than that. The LP incorporates some unique key changes, field recordings and a lot of Mort Garson style synth work. It sometimes reminds me of old 70's PG horror soundtracks. The record is addictive melancholy inspiration. The ideal music for accompanying the dawning morning of an epic adventure.
