Ten years after Chorea Machabaeorum, this is the second album by Avenir Funèbre. With a more gloomy vision, the dark ambient always present with sounds played with synthesizers as well as medieval instruments like the nyckelharpa, the hurdy gurdy and the shofar.

Meditative and surprisingly multi-layered considering the simplicity of the actual elements in the songs. The entirety of the album is a very soothing and unobtrusive experience, still it has lots to offer and to discover. Since it is almost like a cross between dungeon synth and calm yet dark ambient music the atmosphere it invokes is very open and airy, an engrossing and evocative release.
